When asked, Coach Mary Bryan Carlyle will tell you, she knew coaching would be her career at the age of twelve. “George Ivy, the local recreation director, thought a lot of her as a player and he trusted her to coach a termite league team of boys at such a young age”. She was always there for the kids. She held practices on her driveway during the week. Teaching the game paid off then, as it has paid off throughout her career.

Mary Bryan CarlyleCoach Carlyle coached ten years of middle school basketball and is working in her eleventh year of high school varsity basketball, hosting a 312-81 career record before the 2009-2010 seasons. Coach Carlyle's response to their success is “the credit belongs to the kids. It is the players who work hard to prepare. We provide the opportunities year round in our program for players to develop and to get experience. I t is the players that commit and sacrifice other things to get in the gym and develop their game.  It is the players that make it all worth every effort I make as a coach."
